Hi there....I believe this is for the guys at Fiocruz....
As long as I know (probably I'm wrong...) the GC is the first distributed computacional project used by the cientific community in Brazil. So why do we have here in Brazil so little informations about it in the media ? You know...marketing is the soul of business... I believe the guys at Fiocruz are doing a fantastic job but iI think they should spread more this important iniciative in newspaper, internet, etc... Here in Brazil we have one of the 5 largest populations connect in the Internet...the brazilians are the ones who stay more time connected also. Who knows in the next projects we try to "spread the good news" better ? |

Hello Jose Luiz Monteiro Oliveto,
There are 2 different groups in our 'market'. One group is the scientists who can use WCG for their projects. The other is the general public who can contribute computer time via WCG. We are working on setting up a new medical project for a Fiocruz group, so it appears that one of our market groups got the word. I hope that newspapers in Brazil will pick up on the publicity release from the upcoming Fiocruz project. Lawrence |

Fiocruz is a motive of pride for the brazilians....so many achivements with so little money....if just the brazillian government invest the money Fiocruz deserves.... Thanks God it seems things are changing now.... You may count on me to spread the news Have a nice day ! JL |

Thanks for the sites.....did you see my last topic about the 7th Grid Computing Symposium that will take place in Petropolis 14 t 17 of May ? Hi Jose, you're right, WCG is a fantastic project, but most of people didn't ever heard about.
But scientists which are working with WCG are not in charge of marketing, and their jobs are not to promote it. I think that anyone here can promote it in a direct way. Then, for example, in a recent way, three friends of mine joined WCG after I talked to them about WCG. Then, if you want to promote WCG, in my opinion, I think that the best is to talk about it directly to all your friends or your business contacts. |

Just read my post at "a good opportunity to Fiocruz" or something like that.... Today the most powerfull is not the richest or smarter or stronger....the most powerfull is the one who have the information...if I only knew who wants to buy something and who wants to sell it and for how much I would have Bill gates working for me....rsrsrsrsrs Let's spread for real....let's fly high....
