Remove Device on Website

Hi, I have recently formated my PC and reinstalled BOINC, now I see in my "Devices" that I have 2 times the same PC showing, is their a way to clean that up? Also I installed the "wrong" agent on a second PC (wich I removed on that PC) to reinstall the BOINC agent now that PC is mentioned twice to, wich brings my total devices @ 4 where I'm only running 2 of them blushing Is their a way to straight this out?

Regrettably not at WCG yet. For now rename the device in the profile to something like xxxx-old to get rid of the duplicate name. In future like other BOINC projects it might become possible to 'merge' devices, but until than, wait 14 days for it do disappear from the current view list.

Re: Remove Device on Website

Thank you for your quick response. Now I've installed this on the laptop on my work but he doesn't seem to get any connexion with WCG, are their special dedicated ports that have to be open or can I chose one my self for my BOINC agent to get connexion from work to the grid? cool

Re: Remove Device on Website

Only ports 80 + 443 outgoing and port 31416 on localhost. In principle, if you want to remote query a client, it uses port 31416 too.... I use BOINCview for that (3rd party product).

For laptop on work.... make sure to get permission from the IT admin for A. to use the network and B. to install it on a business machine at all.
