2007-04-10 15:29:34 [World Community Grid] Message from server: platform 'amd64-portbld-freebsd' not found
can't seem to download any work.. is it caused by this ? my system is amd+64 3200 1gb ram, freebsd 64bit. |

Hi StyM,
----------------------------------------though WCG has quite a few identifiers in the database for Linux, to send the correct work, 'amd64-portbld-freebsd' seems not. Look for posts with FreeBSD in it on how to modify that identifier, which the BOINC servers check every time the machine communicates. If you advise your Computer ID, we can inform the technicians to see if yours can be added to the valid platforms. It's important as under the so-called ''Homogeneous Redundancy', it needs to be ensured that work is send to the same family of operating systems so that the results returned will be equal from all computers in a quorum. cheers

The platform amd64-portbld-freebsd will now be sent the Linux binaries. Please make sure that you have Linux compatibility mode enabled.

yes, it seems to download work. but can not compute..
once wu is download it says computation done, there seems to be an error.. i have already enable linux compatibility... this is getting , will shift to linux/windows.. ![]() |
