How to uploads several works while on long trips

Hi,

I would like to uploads several pieces of works (twenty or thirty) to work on while on internet-less trips which are sometimes couple of weeks long. How do I do it (Windows XP with BOINC 5.8.15)?

Thanks.

Re: How to uploads several works while on long trips

It's sort of a problem Tom WCG. Present BOINC version in the 5.8 series have introduced a scheduling program which makes it hard to Download work volume above 3 days or so. Also, the due date is 9 days (9x24 hours). Any longer and the work would be considered 'No Reply' and an extra copy would be send to someone else.

If you downgrade to 5.4.11, that version still allows for larger buffering by setting the 'Connect To' option in the device profile. You still face the 9 day deadline though.

An upcoming version will have a extra option to actually say a thing like "give me 8 days work", but when i dont know.

Keep in mind that best u select Fighting AIDS. Those jobs are by far the longest in run time. With a maximum download of 10 jobs per 10 minutes, that would allow quick refill.

cheers
