Trying to setup Boinc on new Linux system ( Yoper Linux ). This is the first time WCG has giving 5.8.15. from its home page. The install went without a hitch. Clicking to the Boinc Manager is fine . Boinc will not connect to localhost no matter what I use. Any suggestions ? Any particular reason you want to use Yoper rather than one of the more mature distros? I prefer [kux]ubuntu myself, but SUSE, Fedora, and centos are all good solid distros with plenty of driver support. Cheers. |

Because it's twice as fast as any distro (unless you compile your own) out of the box. Plus
everything works. PClinuxOS is my main OS at the moment but Yoper Linux will be when the finale release is available . ![]() |
