can't connect
Hi All. Got several systems that are stuck at uploading and can't connect to server.It seems like a hit or miss deal. Out of 7-8 systems some do it one day then connect and then the others do it the next. Running 5.4.11 on most and its not a firewall or router problem.Most are headless and are accessing the internet thru a smoothwall OS system.2 of my server systems are connecting directly to the internet with their own firewalls.
Is this a worldgrid problem, are we gonna start having problems getting work?????

Would love to help, but we are going to need some more information. How exactly does it fail?

Upload problems are often caused by proxies. Ready for some log-diving?

well its not a proxy problem(connects directly to the net) and here's part of it. This has gone for 22 hrs like this. Three other machines are doing this now, the very same thing.

I know this is going to sound dumb, but have you experienced any other network errors, or are the problems exclusive to BOINC?

Anyway, to find out what's going on, you have to set some debug flags. I'm afraid this is a little complex. Details are here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/client_msgs.php

Off the bat, this message indicates the particular machine cant even reach www.google.com as x-verification if any internet connectivity is functional.
