Re: PS3

Hi again marysduby,

Now your tree-planting promotion was in the right forum (chat) and this is not..... there are already several threads on PS3 and GPU processing (like 5 or 5), so please visit those existing once for deliberations of the matter.

thanks.

Re: 13000: PS3 = 380 teraflops/second freakina amezing

It would be nice if it were true. Sadly, I don't think so. F@H are being unusually cagey, and I can only conclude that Sony are leaning on them.

They are using an odd method of "calculating" FLOPS. It proved inaccurate when they launched their GPU client, so I'm surprised they are going with it. Also, I suspect their PS3 client is highly limited and specialised, like the GPU client. Again, they are providing no information.

With no information, I plan on ignoring the claims. It simply doesn't add up.

Yes, the client is only set for a few specific projects at this time, a la gpu.......but it is a pointer to the future of dc.

Whatever the platform every lil helps.
