Hi RipcatWhat part of Canada do you live in? If its Manitoba, you are probably freezing your buns off right now It could be worse, those poor people in the North West Territories Minus 60 celsius I moved to Canada in 1979 and lived in Calgary Alberta till 1992, then moved to Vancoover for a year, then moved back to Calgary untill 1997 at which time I moved back to Birmingham UK I lived in SW Calgary about a quarter of a mile from the 1988 Winter Olympics Site, so I was there every day to watch the Olympics Every year I attended the Calgary Stampede purported to be the largest open air event in the world I supported the Calgary Flames and was at the final game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs when Calgary won the Stanley Cup Just my opinion: Alberta beef has got to be the best in the world And as you already know the people were the most hospitable and friendly I have ever metI go back every year to Calgary and Vancoover for my holidays and get treated like family by my friends there Thats enough waffling for now Regards [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 31, 2004 12:51:25 PM] |

Hello Graham,
I live in southern Ontario on the shore of Lake Huron about 30 klicks north of Sarnia. It's warmed up here the last couple of days and the 2 feet of snow we had is quickly melting away. I can't talk NHL this year, too depressing. ![]() Canadian beef is the best! And yes, Canadians are hospitable and friendly. My fiance spent over a day helping her cousin tend to over 30 stranded travellers during a snow storm just last week at the gas station down the road. ![]() I'd also like to say Good Job! to the people and various levels of government in Canada for their extraordinary kindness when donating funds to help the victims of the tsunami around the Indian Ocean and our condolances go out to those affected by the disaster. (Which I'm sure is going on all over the world)btw, my parents came to Canada in 1965 from England. My mom grew up in Eltham and by dad in Bromley (Southeast London). I have a huge amount of family in the UK. Haven't been over there in some time though. ![]() Have a Great New Year! |

Hey Graham,
More promotion will increase members for the project but I feel word-of-mouth may be the best way to increase it's members. If 40,000 members each get 10 people to join the project then there will be 440,000 people crunching. If those 400,000 new members each get 10 people to join then that would add another 4,000,000 members, and so on, and so on... Word-of-mouth, cheap, easy and if everyone's passing on the word then highly effective! Pass it on! ![]() |
