0.0 Credit used in quorum average

Shouldn't a credit of 0.0 on a Valid result not be used to average the score on the quorum? It doesn't seem possible that a time of 0.00 and a credit of 0.0 is correct when the WU is Valid. Win98 problem perhaps?

I was looking at my results and noticed this workunit (I'm not the 0.0 result):

10000747-10001407_ -- Valid 03/15/2007 22:10:44 03/17/2007 22:24:04 2.14 16.4 / 9.4
10000747-10001407_ -- Valid 03/15/2007 22:09:47 03/16/2007 10:08:58 0.00 0.0 / 9.4
10000747-10001407_ -- Valid 03/15/2007 22:06:07 03/16/2007 12:27:20 2.29 11.7 / 9.4

Re: 0.0 Credit used in quorum average

BobCat13,

occasionally a valid result gets returned without the CPU seconds or claim i.e. it sits in PV as '0.00 0.0 / 0.0' until the validation kicks in and it becomes the mean like your sample. Will flag though, as the 0.0 should function as a 'low lier'. It should be excluded from the mean calculation i.e. would think for at least 11.7 as median to be fair, but proper mean being 14.1.

cheers

Due to the low values for the claimed credits, the 0 claimed credit was just within the lowest limit to be included in the average. Obviously this is not desirable and we are modifying the code now so that 0 is never a valid value and will not be included in the future.

In Sekerob's case the 0 value would have been correctly excluded.
