The essence is that thru computation it is attempted to find the best candidate protein, compound, glitch in a gene. See the Research page here . That process also eliminates any none-candidates, which helps the scientists to focus on what's left over. For AIDS Research WCG members have computed 37 million results so far which is done in tripple redundancy to make sure that the computational tests are valid.
