We will be sending out a new version of the Help Defeat Cancer on BOINC tomorrow. This version corrects a problem that occurs with certain types of workunits (we had temporarily suspended sending this type of workunit until the problem was fixed). The new version will be version 5.19 so the processes when they are running will be:

wcg_hdc_tma_5.19_powerpc-apple-darwin

depending on your platform.


There very slight differences in the results that are sent back with the new version which cause them not to match with the previous version of the science application. These differences are not significant scientifically but because we look for an exact match between results returned, the new version will cause a temporary increase inconclusive and invalid results. In order to minimize this, we are going to send out an extra result for each workunit is currently in progress. This will allow almost all workunits currently in progress to complete without having a conflict between the new and old versions of the application.
