I use the United Devices Client. It works fine for severals months. In the last few days it does strange. After die Client reveived new work for Genome Comparison it runs only 5-8 Senconds. Then it sends the results to Grid Server and so on. Where´s the problem ?

It is difficult to determine problems with the UD client because it does not log error information well. The BOINC agent has better error logs. Think about using BOINC instead of UD.

Any change/failure of hardware/software can cause this.

Please edit out IP address (operate little pencil next to post title). Keep that to yourself.
----------------------------------------If u followed the checklist and performed the hardware tests, than the prime suspect is on Kaspersky. Like most all security software it gets updated automatically on a daily basis. Switch it off, module by module AV, FW, SF until UD starts working. In some cases the Security software had to be completely uninstalled for any features deeply hidden to get deactivated and boot to get rid of it. Also switch project in profile to e.g. FAAH. I found the bug. It´s as you said the Kaspersky Internet Security.
By the way the Version 6.0.1.411 works well with the UD. It´s the new Version 6.0.2.614 (the lastest one ) who causes the problem.It seems as if this Version of Kaspersky is incompantible with UD. You can complete shutdown all functions. As long as you not deinstall it the UD will no t proper work. No problem with the previous Version of Kaspersky. |
