Thread: Why is my program not returning results to the grid? |

According to my world community grid docked program, I have over one week of research completed. I also have witnessed myself the completion of many tasks by the program, but none of these have been returned to the server apparently because my statistics are still unknown to the website.
Will it take longer than this for the server to receive any results, or is my program not connected? I'm completely amateur about this, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

The program uses encryption on a secure socket 443 to upload data.
----------------------------------------If you are running on a proxy server, it has to allow uploads. What is happening after the workunit ends? Are they being sent? Perhaps you could post a section of your log file here. On the other hand, there are some built in delays. It may be too early to tell. Results will not be credited until two other members complete the same workunit.

Hello thethirdperson,
As far as I know, the points are only added to the UD client after it receives an acknowledgment from the server. If there are points showing in the UD client but not on the website, then the results are being returned to a different member name. Examine your website Device Statistics to see how many devices you have and when they last returned work. Lawrence |

Need screenshot of the Agent Main page showing the Member Information and Device ID right hand bottom of the UD(WCG) agent preferences page. 3 or 4 members are reporting this phenomena and no name change. A disconnect with / bug in stats updates is not unthinkable.

UDMonitor, which is an add-on product that runs with the UD agent, has one. It helps dig out the checkpoints, but may not help with these kinds of connection problems, as well as the BOINC message log.

I thought this to be a feature of BOINC only but not of the UD Agent.  As soon as a new WU is downloaded to the agent you imo can read total points at the main window - member information - of the agent (inclusive the points for the just uploaded WU). There you can recognize also your member name. I understand the post of thethirdperson in this way: 'total points' shows zero whereas 'total run time' is more than a week. @ thethirdperson: Is this correct? hi, i'm having problems like this to. i downloaded the program over 24 hours ago, and no results have posted on the website, though the UD program has awarded me 1359 and it says i've been running for 1 day and 22 hours.
when i go to device manager and device statistics on the website, nothing is shown under device statistics...  |

The Device ID# on the United Devices client corresponds to the member name that your points are being stored under on the website. Use 'Contact Us' to send an email to the WCG staff with your Device ID# to find out what member name is being used. Lawrence |

In order for WCG to trace the whereabouts of scores on the web statistics we must know the Member Name as shown in the Agent Main screen (Member Information, Right hand Top), and the Device ID (Preferences Screen, Right hand Bottom). Without that we cannot investigate. Often times its found that the device is not registered to the exact same member name. Posting screenshots is easiest for investigation.
