What are the basic system requirements for Help Defeat Cancer?

I think it needs one Gigabyte of ram.

And what is the most demanding part of the computing? Is it the CPU? Would a fast CPU reduce crunching time?

Generally speaking, all the projects at WCG run faster with a faster CPU.
