I suspect your operating system upgrade has damaged your BOINC installation.
Try reinstalling it. |

I suspect your operating system upgrade has damaged your BOINC installation. Try reinstalling it. Hello Didactylos, My machine returned two damaged units. After those two units, it has been crunching perfectly, or so I think. These two units are displayed in my Results Status page: faah1355_ d091n481_ x2BPW_ 01-- cio Error 02/19/2007 11:19:38 02/20/2007 22:55:54 0.00 0.0 / 0.0 faah1355_ d091n519_ x2BPW_ 05-- cio Error 02/19/2007 11:19:38 02/20/2007 22:55:54 0.33 3.2 / 0.0 I think I'll observe BOINC's behavior for now before re-installing the OS, . Thanks for the help!cio_redulla ![]() |

I meant BOINC, not the OS! :+)
But as you say: looks like it recovered. |

Wander if switching the OS from 32 to 64 bit mid calculation set something off. @Didactylos: Sorry, , how stupid of me!@Sekerob: I think so too Sek, maybe the unit doesn't want to be disturbed in mid-calculation. Thanks! cio_redulla ![]() |

You got it!
Switching horses in mid-stream is inadvisable. I suspected that these were work units downloaded and started in 32-bit Windows and wanted the full message log to show that they were not brand-new downloads. Everything should work well with your new work units. Lawrence |

After shifting to the 64 bit OS, did you run BOINC in the Win32 bit partition available on that operating system?
