Paul, you only show up once on WCG and on MyOnlineTeam. I took a look at BOINCstats.com and you only show up once there under MOT. However, when I look at your username, it lists two entries. If you look at the projects under each entry, one has Malaria Control, Proteins@home, Rosetta@Home, Spinhenge@home, Tanpaku and World Community Grid. The other entry has Predictor@Home and SIMAP. There is something about those two that doesn't match the rest. I'm not sure if it's your BOINC account key or cross-project id or something else. Whatever it was Keith, it's cured now. I wasn't about to spend days messing about trying to sort out that lot, while half of my stats went astray each day, so I've started again from scratch. I'm not going near the other projects again because I've a feeling they were what confused BAM, which isn't exactly robust at the best of times. I've lost a few days crunching, but this team got most of the completed WU credited to it. Press on regardless. ![]() I'm afraid not. That actually made things worse. Retire your Raptor1947 id and go back to using Raptor_2007. For now, don't crunch under SIMAP or Predictor@Home. Follow up on your thread in the BOINC Agent Support forum. I recall posts around the first part of last year where users did not show up under all the BOINC projects as the same user. Projects actually know you by an id that your username is associated with. If you change your username, that new name gets associated with that same "internal" id. I suspect you have a different "internal" id for those two projects and just need to get those in sync with the rest. I am sure someone will recall the problem and how to fix it. |

Note to MLCBA/Fermez_WCG/Fermez-WCG: You made your position about WCG clear and I respect that. You are entitled to your opinion. I would also be happy to have you back crunching with us. However, each time you change your username, it casues a number of problems. It messes up our team page on Free-DC and my statistics "cooker" program. The first time you changed your id, I looked at my program and did not see an easy way to deal with usernames changing. It was actually simpler to manually change all references to your old username to your new one in all my daily data files. I expect that I'll do that again. Yes, long-term, I need to find a way to deal with username changes but that will not have a simple solution and it is an extremely rare situation. Thanks!

Sorry for all the piecemeal posts. You'd think I was was doing a poor imitation of DA
---------------------------------------- That's what I get for trying to multi-task. I forgot to mention what I really wanted to announce tonight. For those of you who have registered for the team website, go to it, log in and go to the Statistics image in forum signature item. If you don't see it in the Latest News section, click on Why Join, then What is MyOnlineTeam and you should see it then. In there, you'll see that all our active crunchers have a statistics box set up on DCstats.com along with the img code you need or the TinyURL to include it in your forum signature here if you want. They all have a consistent look and the background matches as close as I could get it to the color Graham used in most of his graphics. Note: parmesian and joost, I'll get yours set up tomorrow. |
