Excellent milestones today!! barney15c is back with us in the active crunching ranks! Welcome back!! Justin Strickland and WARDSTAR both continue to put up some great points since their return. Also, we've past the 650,000 results level as a team and may well hit the 10,000,000 points year to date as a team before the end of the month. Great contributions one and all! Still, I would like to see more folks returning results on any given day, more team members and higher daily team totals (geez, you just can't satisfy some folks, can you?

Welcome back Dean Mullins to our active crunching ranks! Congratulations to those reaching milestones today. I'm reviewing things and will be working on making sure everything is current and accurate. I know the header used for the team threads needs some updating. Okay, I have made a small tweak to my stats "cooker" to include the 25000 and 75000 point levels. We have Hall of Fame banners for those so I wanted to include them so that folks will get recognized at those levels.

As for what I call the "pre-raisin" posts, I post those for every 500,000 point interval, every 5,000 results returned, every 5 years of runtime and every time we have a new member join. The idea here is to provide the right level of recognition that balances the needs of our crunchers with one or a few machines that don't run 24x7 with those who have a roomful running 24x7x365  You don't want it to be too frequent as then they are too common to be meaningful. Neither do you want it to take too long as then you're not giving a reasonable level of feedback and recognition. The "pre-raisin" posts are "the next level up" and targeted to truly significant events. Hopefully, this approach is satisfactory to everyone. At least this way, it's no "state secret" |
