Hi!
I'm running WCG on an 20" iMAC (duo @2,16 GHz) and have the problem, that my cpu-usage is never going to more than 1,80 %. Does anyone know what the problem could be? My configuration is that both cpu's can be used and that 100% of cpu is used at most. I also tried to configure "Only do work after cpu is idle for:" to 0.0 but i get only 1.8 %... So i do need more than 3 hours for one Defeat cancer WU. I think my 730MHz Pentium 2 does faster.  Thanks! |

I am running boinc on a 24 inch iMac and mine are maxed out. Did you look at activity monitor and check the cpu? Here are my settings:
----------------------------------------Use no more than: 100 % of processor time Use no more than: 100 % of total memory also Do work while computer is in use? YES Do work only after computer is idle for: 3.0 minutes Do work while computer is running on batteries? NO On multiprocessors, at most use: 4 processors Project Weight: 100.0 Switch between applications every: 120 minutes Disk and Memory Usage Use no more than: 2.0 Gigabytes of disk space Leave at least: 0.1 Gigabytes of disk space free Use no more than: 75.0 % of total disk space Write to disk at most every: 60.0 seconds Leave applications in memory while preempted? NO Network Usage Confirm before connecting to Internet? NO Disconnect when done? NO Connect to network about every 4.0 days Maximum upload rate: 0.0 Kbytes/sec Maximum download rate: 0.0 Kbytes/sec Hope this helps. Randy
