I really don't believe this. I bought 2 Seagate hard disks at the same time, one went into my new machine, one was spare for another project which never happened. As you already heard, one disk failed, so I put in the spare and this has also failed after only a week with the exact same problems. The Seagate drive-checking utility has confirmed both drives as faulty, so at least I can send them back under warranty.
----------------------------------------Seriously unimpressed though. I've used Seagate for years and I've never ever had one fail on me. Now two have failed in the space of a couple of weeks! Or mabye Mr Courier drop-kicked them into his van at the depot? If they were bought together that sort of rough handling of the package in transit might explain them both failing quickly.
