Is PII 300 worth running?

It has a 8G HD and 384mb sdram so those are ok, but at some level of performance you have to ask if its even worth the electricity cost for how much it will contribute. I have a fast computer so this would be a second one. Anybody running this era processor and how long does it normally take for a wu?

Thanks

cool Re: Is PII 300 worth running?

If you look at Global Statistics, you can see what the recent statistics are like for mostly modern processors. We only have one project on the World Community Grid right now, and it has some monster work units. However, there are some very worthy projects being run on other clusters that are less demanding. You might want to look at http://www.grid.org/about/ They are a well established grid which the World Community Grid has been using as a model. That would let you double your fun without imposing a steep learning curve on you. It is what I would do with a 300 Mhz PII.
