CPU Indicator at 100% instead of 60%

I was surprised to see my CPU indicator go up to 100% and it did not try it usual balance at 60%. This started with the Genome Comparision that downloaded version 1.0.0.9 around lunch time.

Did someone forget to throttle the CPU at 60%?

Re: CPU Indicator at 100% instead of 60%

Sekerob,

Apparently you misunderstood what I posted.

Two genome comparision was running at throttle of 100% - version 1.0.0.9.
The version 1.0.0.8 genome comparision that ran earlier this morning maintained a throttle of 60%.
The fight aids that just started is running at 60%.

I suspect a bug in version 1.0.0.9 of genome comparision and not my settings.

Josh

Re: CPU Indicator at 100% instead of 60%

hmmmm yes, the same thing still as what's discussed in the referred thread. On my box the throttle is ignored. Set it to 25% and it still goes for the max. There was no response on Alther's question, so it seems that at least also GC suffers the anomaly. Not seen an announcement on a new version, so will update the Start Here post. The BOINC version number did not change on another machine where it was downloaded this afternoon i.e. remained 5.10
