I've had cancer... nice to do something for others...

I know this is a very, very small drop in a very, very large bucket but it's nice to use some spare computing power to assist the fight against cancer. I've had it once already so I'm glad to do this small thing to help. smile

I have breast cancer. Diagnosed last Dec.
I just came back to running WCG as one of the best research projects to help find a real cure.

I just found out I can't run Cancer on Agent on my towers now. I have 1024 ram and it now requires 1025. crying

I did switch them over to Boinc and the Cancer project, although I prefer Agent.

I really want to run the Cancer project alone, and right now I don't have the money for buying anything for my computers, sorry.

Re: I've had cancer... nice to do something for others...

Remember, even running the other projects frees up more resources on the grid to work on the project that you would like to be working on yourself.

So, don't be frustrated if your computer can't actually work on Help Defeat Cancer. I know it feels more relevant if your computer is actually working on what interests you, and you can actually see progress being made - but WCG balance the projects so that all the work will get done somehow.
