Grid needs to be paused for some foreground actions

I recently updated a bunch of drivers, bios, etc levels on my laptop and since then I have noticed that World Grid sometimes gets in the way. If I pause it, the action I am waiting for happens immediately.

Has anyone else seen this? Am I just using a really old version of World Grid?

Re: Grid needs to be paused for some foreground actions

The upgrades possibly lost your CPU usage limiter setting for the UD agent

Can you check the UD Agent Graphics screen and see what the Throttle % is somewhere towards the bottom. If u dont see it - the AIDS graphics don't have that value indicator - open up Taskmanager and look @ what % CPU time the WCGxxxxxxxx.exe process indicates. If 100% and running the heavy duty Help Defeat Cancer, it is possible u incur some reduction in user responsiveness for foreground applications.

Re: Grid needs to be paused for some foreground actions

Still running at 60%. (30% on Duo Core).

Things that get delayed until Grid is snoozed:

Opening of a document attachment in notes.
Opening a new instance of IE, but not all the time.
Suspending the laptop.
