HPF2 File compression use

With the MD5 none recoverable errors galore on flunked downloads, is HPF2 in this beta 2 test using file compression and if so, is the discussed file size included, so the client knows what's coming. Also will we see a fix so a botched download transmission can recover, be it thru file formatting or thru a permanent solution in the 5.8 final release?

Re: HPF2 File compression use

Sekerob,

HPF2 is using compressed files but it is using the technology built into the Rosetta software itself rather then relying on the BOINC software to do compression. As a result it will not encounter the same issues that Genome Comparison is having.
