Beta Test round 2 for Human Proteome Folding on BOINC on Windows

We will be launching another round of beta testing for Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 on BOINC on Windows. We hope to be adding the other platforms in the near future.

We are asking those beta testers who are also using the 5.8 client to follow the directions at (upgrading to the 5.8 client is NOT required it is a development build - but if you are already using it then we want to collect additional information since it is available):

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/client_msgs.php

And create a cc_config.xml file with the following:

<cc_config>
<options>
</options>
<log_flags>
<mem_usage_debug/>
</log_flags>
</cc_config>

This will provide information about the memory use of the application ( in the messages log. We want to know if anyone sees the application use more then 500MB of memory (either real or virtual).

thanks!

Re: Beta Test round 2 for Human Proteome Folding on BOINC on Windows

The testing for Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 has gone very well with a low error rate and no invalid results. Please report any odd behavior that you may have seen on the clients.

We are sending out a few more workunits so that we can test a complete gene (we need 30,000 structures per gene). Once those results are complete, then we will validate that set of data to confirm the accuracy of the data.

thank you for your participation,
Kevin
