 Isn't this an oxymoron? Republicans for Science?Texas publishers and schools (under Bush) began requiring that evolution either be removed from text books or have a disclaimer against the science. Don't republicans use the term "Global Climate Change" instead of "Global Warming" to prevent the mass consensus that USA should join the Kyoto treaty and take the environment seriously? lets not get started on Stem Cell research... this isn't bashing; it's verifiable reality.  yeah, i'm pretty sure this team name is an Oxymoron... |

There are a lot more reasons besides science to be a Republican. Which in my case far out weigh the opposing party and their views.

A fascinating read. A scientific view that people try to hide often. And no matter who is in office I support him, and pray for him. I made my views seen, and flex my voteing power and grass roots abilities on election year and thats all. I am all for technological solutions concerning the enviorment. Needless to say keep it up you guys I am in Team USA or one of the few of them already lol. |

Actually, Global Warming is a part of Global Climate Change, though Global Climate Change means much more than just Global Warming. There is a difference.

A Republican use for Science
The GOP's use of the phrase "Global Climate Change" is purposely vague because it gained the least negative response from test audiences. This is much like changing "Estate Tax" to "Death Tax". Virtually every nation in the world has an estate tax, but when the GOP started using the words "Death Tax" the publicly suddenly changed the stance it had had since the founding of the USA. The public is for an Estate Tax but against the Death Tax. Are you for the manipulation of the mass mentality? The foxnews.com article is ridiculous. Using emotive language and scorning other nations for being environmentally conscious is unwise. That isn't news, it's commentary. They should not be allowed by law to call themselves Fox News while continuing to publish articles such as those. Tree rings contain more information about global warming than Fox News. |
