No credit for work

I continue to have my computer work through problems, but the points I am accumulating are not being attributed to my team. When I go to the Device page, it is blank. How do I get my device working so that my work - which seems to be building up on my personal page - isnt being transferred to my team's page?

Re: No credit for work

Your team is set on the 'My Grid' page. There should be somewhere in the middle top section a 'Find a Team to Join ' line.

Re: No credit for work sad

I have a slightly different problem. How are work units credited to individual records on the grid? I have just joined WCGrid, but have been a volunteer with other BOINC projects for quite a while, beginning with SETI many years ago.

I have just completed some work. I checked my log, and it shows that the work was completed and successfully transmitted to the server about noon today (it is now 7:PM). Is the work record updated immediately, or is it updated in a cron or batch job on a scheduled basis?

I tried to save the log record just in case., but the copy failed and I rebooted my machine after a kernel update before I realized what had happened. Hopefully I can retrieve them from somewhere.

Re: No credit for work sad

You can check your in-progress and recently uploaded work units here: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/ms/viewBoincResults.do

The validator process runs (nearly) all the time, so points will be credited very shortly after all the results are in. However, the web site statistics are updated in a rather lengthy process twice a day, starting at 00:00 and 12:00 UTC. The team statistics are only updated daily, in the midnight update.

Your BOINC message logs are typically saved in the BOINC folder. They're easy to spot.
