sad BOINC on Linux as Daemon

I am able to install and run the BOINC agent, but I downloaded the script to start as a daemon and it does not seem to work properly.

The strange thing is, if I run the boincmgr, suddenly boinc starts running and everything looks great. When I exit boincmgr, CPU usage drops back to zero and boinc does not show up in running processes.

What am I doing wrong?

sad

Re: BOINC on Linux as Daemon

If BOINC isn't running when BOINC Manager is launched, the manager will run BOINC as a user process.

What script have you got? What distro are you using?
