Hello,
----------------------------------------The common cold is just a mild infection but it is the most common of all human diseases, hence the name. Is there any DC project for this particular disease? I know this disease is not life threatening but its complications can be. And how about influenza? ![]() |

Don't know about Common Cold other than the many vitamin regimens and pills/potions suppressing the symtoms, but Influenza is well covered. Countries where it's a common late autumn/winter event have extensive programs for 'temporary' inoculation for population groups that are at risk like the seniors/elderly, kidney, heart , lung and others. It does not necessarily 100% protect, but if one catches it, it often does not go beyond the experience of a good cold.
----------------------------------------Like the AIDS virus, it continuously mutates, thus re-inoculation has to take place every November (northern hemisphere). There is no specific DC to my knowledge that specifically covers these 2, but surely, things will come out as by-product from other life-science related DC's.

A million thanks for the links Sek, lawrence!
----------------------------------------I wish those projects should have been at WCG so I wouldn't have to download another client. Anyway, I'll stick with WCG, :-). ![]() |
