Host Merges

Hi....is there any way to merge hosts. BOINC/SETI has this feature and it ensures that each account has an accurate host list. My appologies if this has been discussed before but I can't seem to find a thread concerning it. crying Thanks

cool Re: Host Merges

If I am guessing correctly, you want to merge 2 devices in your account, perhaps because you have reinstalled the WCG Agent. I am sorry, but as far as I know there are no current plans to add this feature. Each installation produces a unique device. By checking the Previous User box you can assign it to your login rather than creating a new user. The new device ages off your member page 1 week after install or 2 weeks after returning a result, unless you change the settings at the top of your Member Page.

Hope I am answering your question.

Re: Host Merges

There is no option like this indeed, but i would like to see it too. Or just a delete option so if you accedently added a machine twice e.g by experimenting with things the stats show you have 5 device installations while only 3 returned work so... A delete/merge option would be nice

Re: Host Merges

Hi again.....yes you are right, I did reinstall and doubled my host count in the process. Thanks for the prompt reply.... it is appreciated. You certainly have SETI beat for response time if not for the merging feature. Thanks, again. Cheers!
