Re: 2 PC's.. 2 profiles??

I have had a few computation errors but I have aborted those rather than let them carry on uploading with bad results...

I'm managed to get this CPU overclocked to 3.61Ghz which is a 50% overclock which I never expected but boy am I chuffed to bits :D

Running at a nice 3.24Ghz my CPU benchmark scores are:

Number of CPUs: 2
2991 floating point MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU
6247 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU

How are they compared to others??

Hello Phill23,
Looking good. Just hit Search and look for whetstone. That will get you a number of threads like 'CPU Benchmarks (what does it mean/where do I rank)' ( http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7548 ).

Re: 2 PC's.. 2 profiles??

Many thanks for that :)

It seems to really differ though, each time I run the benchmark test in Boinc it can differ by 1000 points either way!! confused crying

Depends on what your machine is doing during the benchmarking!

Re: 2 PC's.. 2 profiles??

Moving your mouse at the 'wrong' moment is already enough to loose a few hundred points, then if it so happens to write date to disk or pull, which the OS controls, not BOINC, again the bench gets impacted.....security software also can and many more 'nothing else' features which run behind the scenes.

Not sure if the 'keep in memory' feature impacts, but if you run a large HDC model and it gets suspended during benchmark, u loose work back to the last checkpoint saved.

Re: 2 PC's.. 2 profiles??

Its running at 3.51Ghz now and I'm not loosing any work units thank god :)

Its running like a dream so I'm pleased :) Just need to make sure for sure that its not dropping anything and I'll be happy :)

Found that 3.6Ghz gave me 10C+ more heat to worry about, so I've backed it down and I've had a few problems with getting it to complete work units as well, so I've done the best I can do with this setup :D

Thanks for the help guys :)
