Hola:

if i understand this, he wants the agent to leave a message when a checkpoint has happened, such as by having a windows folder with such messages.
i think he may be concerned about losing work when turning off the computer, and wants to choose the 'best' time... |

The Application View of the UD client for many projects (HPF2, FAAH) has a graph that reaches the end and starts over again when the checkpoint is written. The Genome Comparison project checkpoints once every ten minutes.

[Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 25, 2006 2:53:40 PM] |

this is his last reply, as run through babelfish:

Different work units check point at different speeds. To run as fast as possible, download http://worldcommunitygrid.org/files/WCGridMaxCPU.exe and run WCGridMaxCPU.exe This program lets you choose 'User defined' and then 100% speed. This value is written into the Windows Registry. Unless you run WCGridMaxCPU.exe the application will only run at 60% speed.
