I have 7 workunits where ALL results have been returned and either no decision has been reached or no 4th version has been sent out to be able to reach that decision. Some have been sitting like this for 48 hours. I used the "contact us" link but have not had a response. Thank you.

Hi sedgecom,
----------------------------------------Yesterday knreed made a post that in an unspecified condition a 4th copy was send out in error, but he fixed that.... do all 3 say same like 'inconclusive', or 'pending validation'? Can you copy past a couple of the Result Details of these 'waiting' workunits. When doing that post your BOiNC version and the computer ID which u can find in the message log, somewhere at the beginning and usually 5 or 6 digits like "Computer ID 34567" cheers

Hello sedgecom,
Go to your Results Status page and click on the name of a work unit that is 'Pending Validation'. You will then see the current status of all the other copies of that work unit. At least one of them should have a status other than 'Pending Validation'. If they are all 'Pending Validation', post back here. Lawrence |

In BOiNC there is a 'messages' tab ;>). If it was a long time ago u closed BOiNC, u can find the number in the stdoutdae.txt file of the program directory.
----------------------------------------It seems to coincide with the period that knreed applied a fix for the erroneous 4th copy... http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=10230#79619 I had Genome, Cancer and Aids validated since those times. Just check my Pendings and have one sitting there returned on the 6th, but waiting on 4th copy send on 3rd, due 10th.

All seven of them are showing as inconclusive for ALL copies, even the ones where a fouth copy was sent out. Four different computers (yea for vacant cubicles at work!) but I can only get the id's for three computers, the fourth is at home.
Computer id# 44125, result B10681_ 0111_ CTMA3B2-13-16-16 Computer id# 84326, results B10692_ 0030_ CTMA3D1-9-1-9 and B10697_ 0075_ CTMA3D1-11-11-8-c1 Computer id# 87619, result B10692_ 0127_ CTMA3D1-9-17-8 Computer id# ? (at home), results B10676_ 0087_ CTMA3B2-11-15-17-c1, B10681_ 0290_ CTMA3B2-13-4-18, and B10643_ 0119_ CTMA3B1-10-16-8 Three are Windows, the one at home is a Mac. Do you need anything else? Thanks! |

It took some digging to figure out what was going on with ths, however, the problem that you have observed above is due to the same bug that was fixed on Wednesday. There was an implication of the bug that we weren't aware of which is what you saw. As a result there was a set of workunits (about 500) that were put into a state where they are not able to complete. We are going to re-run those workunits.
We have awarded the claimed credit to all users who returned a successful result in one of the affected workunits. |
