I looked at my BOINC totals for yesterday, and they were much lower than I expect.
Narrowing it down, I see that I received zero WCG credit for 2006-12-02. However, in my Boinc Manager "Messages" logfile, I see that I completed faah0999_d164n992_x1AJX_01_3 at 2006-12-01 04:16:20PM, and it was reported at 06:17:46PM. This missing wu is why my total BOINC credit was too low. If I remember, this wu was about 10 hours in length. If I understand correctly, WCG stats are updated 4 times per day. It has been approx 24 hours since this wu was reported to WCG. This would suggest there were 4 WCG updates during this time, but WCG seems to have no record of my having completed and submitted this wu. Pls adv. |

----------------------------------------No, don't worry, u will get a credit once the first 3 copies returned are agreeing on the computation, which can take up to 7 days, sometimes even longer, if any of the 1st 3 send out is late. It's called the quorum 3 principle of validation. Visit the Result Status Page at My Grid. Left hand margin, click Device Manager, Then the Result Status Page or go directly here . Any Work Unit that has a different message than Valid has either had a problem or is still waiting on additional copies. For detail click on the Workunit name. Many posts have been made on the subject, thus please visit the BOiNC Agent Support forum section for more information.

My apologies. I did try looking through the FAQ/Forum for this info first, but obviously not well enough.
Thanx for the explanation. I was able to locate that the wu was received and is pending. Never noticed missing credit previously, that why I attempted to track down this time. |

In other words, there is a time lag on getting credit.
