I started a team called Feces Throwing Monkeys a couple of days ago. I use BOINC and the United Devices manager. It looks like the points I accumulated this morning in the UDM were added to my team, but the BOINC points I accumulated this afternoon weren't. Shouldn't the BOINC results be in there too? Also, do you think the world community grid people will have a problem with my team's name? I think it's funny but some people don't have a sense of humor. If you want to join it, now's the time to get in early. Thanks. |

You get credited for points when the UD agent completes a WU. With BOINC, you earn credits but not until the WU is validated (I believe http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=linpointscalc speaks to the quorum of 3 method). Once you earn BOINC credits for a validated WU, that is multiplied by 7 to get WCG points and it will be included in your individual and team statistics.
----------------------------------------As for your new team, the WCG admins will let you know if the name is a problem. You can start a thread in the Teams forum for recruiting and team info/communication. Note that team statistics are only updated once a day at the end of the day (UTC). |
