Changing overall UD score

I've noticed that the UD agent recomputes a device's overall score after each work unit and before it begins work on the newly downloaded one.

My Overall score for my Athlon XP 2000+ has ranged anywhere from 150 to 170.

It all boils down to the processor score. I've seen my processor score range from 116 to 150.

It all depends on what else your CPU is doing during this small window of time.

Everything else stays the same score: Memory, Storage, and Network are all the same values as before.

My memory score is always 267 because of the 1 GB of RAM I have.

My storage score is always 196 because of the 9.77 GB I have allocated

My network score is always 100 because of my 10/100 NIC

Re: Changing overall UD score

This is correct... I'm not sure if you're asking why this happens, or just posting your observations If you're asking why: WCG runs a performance diagnostic when it starts each work unit. If your processor is doing something else at the time, your processor score (and thus your overall score) will be reduced. There were some previous threads about this w/response from admin.
