Million Point Man followed up his not so long ago million point milestone with two very good milestones today! applause

Has anyone noticed how John Horn has really poured on the points lately?? He even made the team Top 10 today!! Way to go!!! Also, we past 149,000,000 team points and are quickly working our way to that nice round 150,000,000 points value. Let's see how soon we do that!! We had 65 MOTians returning results today. I would still love to see us get that up into the 70+ range. Let's do what we can, not just to get there, but also to do what we can to make those cures we're working for happen that much sooner!

Okay. as for our approach to 150,000,000 team points, we're looking at 5-6 more days worth of crunching by my figuring. Our points total for today was WAY down from a normal weekday. Today was more like a slow weekend day instead. Hopefully, we just had a lot of WUs go into PV instead of fully validating today and we'll see an offsetting spike soon. I'd love to see more folks returning results each day. We can do that thru getting new members and thru existing members squeezing out some more crunching. If you're crunching on a machine at work, see if you can use a password protected screensaver to "lock up" at the end of the day and let your machine crunch thru the night. Do be sure that's okay with the boss first and keep the weather in mind. Stormy nights can be a good reason to power down overnight when the forecast doesn't look good. Of course, most of the team doesn't seem to follow this thread so I'm probably preaching to the choir sad

As for Dave, no word. I don't get an answer on his cell but it looks like it's still active as I do get into his voice mail. I know that after he finished up at regular hospital part of the VA in Durham, he was moved across the street to the "nursing home" for rehab and therapy. If I recall correctly, I think he did take a fall on his stump and injured it to some degree. Medical facilities are not the best of places for avoiding picking up infections. There are some nasty ones out there that don't respond well to existing antibiotics. If things were going well, he would have been discharged by now I believe. I know he mentioned moving back to Chicago in the past so I'm hoping that is what is happening. If the news was really bad, I want to believe that his cell would have been disconnected. He hasn't hit the forums since just before Christmas.

I haven't had any word from Graham but then I haven't pestered him either biggrin

I'm sure you can relate to his situation given your line of work. It sounds to me like his move and the related problems either pretty much shut down his business or curtailed it quite a bit. He seems to have quite an inventory and just setting that back up in the new place had to have been a major chore as just what he displays takes two full rooms. Not surprisingly, repairs are part of his work too and he was working thru his backlog last I knew. Can't blame him for focusing on keeping his creditors happy wink

but I'm sure we'll hear from him again. He does seem to check in on us at least once a month. Looks like he poked his head in back on Valentine's Day.
