One Good possibity is in cleaning your pc of junk files
one option in cleaning utility's is to keep junk files that are under 30 day's yes deleting junk files with cleaning utility's can also include wcg files that would need to be deselected manually in order not to have any deleted yes on one occasion, a reinstall was needed due to deleting mostly zero length files and the like as i was the files deleting noticed world community grid files be deleting as well rendered that particular would be send in useless, there after I kept the safe guard of 30 days check marked software in use at the time system mechanic 5, there's system mechanic 6 at the moment I haven't got system mechanic on my pc for the memory mechanic part easy fix just any way it's a great product but need to stay with focas as to the might's & mights not's meaning at one point I'd entered zero day's to rid the pc of every junk file not expecting the software might also pick any temp files or the like of wcg live & learn yeah I may have ranted just a bit so any performance utility's need a checking from the home users level Thanks for listening |

our first user has access to the database. Dave Goodlett at the University of washington is our first beta user. this is a critical step in getting the bugs out and getting a robust DB out to biologists (we don't want to publish, and get 10000 hits to a broken or
non-intuitive database). He is primarily interested in pathogens and is looking at the microbial genomes we've folded. |

Thanks for the post(s) Dr Bonneau. This one is especially interesting - it sounds as though the project is really moving into the 'real world' with perhaps some tangible 'results' in the foreseeable future.
I do of course realise that it is almost impossible to predict what or when will come from what we are doing but it's nice to know that the overall project is progressing and that we are that much nearer to our first (of many?) achievement. ![]() |
