We are extremely pleased to announce that World Community Grid volunteers have now returned more than 250 Million results. Results are what come out of each unit of work that you "crunch" on your computer and are sent to the researchers.
Our heartfelt thanks to the volunteer force -- the over 400,000 registered members who have downloaded World Community Grid on their computers. These computers have provided more than 223 thousand years of run time toward important research. We are extremely grateful for your contributions. Without you, this compute power would not be available for the very important research work we are helping to accelerate. Thank you to the researchers for running their projects on World Community Grid. This includes: 1. The Institute for Systems Biology for the Human Proteome Folding - Phase 1 project; 2. The Scripps Research Institute for the FightAIDS@Home project; 3. The Cancer Institute of New Jersey, UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for the Help Defeat Cancer project; 4. New York University for the Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2 project; 5. Fiocruz for the Genome Comparison project; 6. AFM, CNRS, INSERM, and Universite Pierre et Marie Curie for the Help Defeat Muscular Dystrophy - Phase 1 project; 7. University of Texas Medical Branch for the Discovering Dengue Drugs – Together project; 8. University of Cape Town for then AfricanClimate@Home project; 9. University Health Network and the Ontario Cancer Institute for the Help Conquer Cancer project; 10. University of Washington for the Nutritious Rice for the World project; 11. The Aspuru-Guzik group at Harvard University for The Clean Energy Project. World Community Grid also thanks the more than 400 partners who are encouraging their employees, members, students and associates to participate on World Community Grid. It continues to be our fondest hope that through the efforts of every World Community Grid participant, some human affliction will be eradicated in the near future. |
