Hello Jan, I use the latest phoca download version and joomla 1.5.12

In the backend, when I click on browse button to upload a new file nothing happens.. no error message, no nothing.

how can i fix that?

Try to see settings and disable flash upload (if you have enabled it) maybe you are using latest adobe flash plugin, where the flash upload doesn't work.
