hello,
i don't know much about joomla, but i installed it and also installed the phoca download component.
Now?
What do i have to do from that point?
How do i get the same web site that i see in the phoca download demo?
Is the default joomla template good for that type of website?
Do i have to get another template?
Maybe one of the phoca free templates?
I tried to find these answers in the documentation (poor) and all over this forum, but i only found questions and answers about running or installation problems of the module. Nothing about how to get it on the road, something like a step by step tutorial.
Can someone please gimme a hand?

Hi, you don't need specific template. Try to see Joomla! documentation so you will know how to create e.g. menu link.

First you need to create SECTION, then CATEGORY and then FILE - you will upload some file to your server to phocadownload folder - you will select this file in edit mode of file and you will save it (it means the information about this file will be stored in database)

At the end you will go to Menu Manager and will create a menu link to Phoca Download Sections.

See e.g. Phoca Gallery guide, it is more detailed and e.g. creating menu links is the same like by Phoca Download.

i don't want to create menu links. I know how to do that.
I want i site just like the one on phoca download demo.
I mean a site that takes the entire home page and that creates boxes of categories, section (or whatever) and list files.
I was talking about a tutorial that teach people how to setup a site like that.

The download page on phoca.cz have a created menu link - it is called "download" and it is a menu link to sections in phoca Download
