Hi, I need to insert direct file link to article. All files I have in server in "phocadownload" directory, all files I have sorted in phoca download component to sections an cathegories, direct pages with downloads work right, but when I want to insert direct link to file into article, I cannot to do it. I looked for answer in documentation on phoca web, in forums, but without result. Is it possible it is simple operation, but I am Joomla beginner and I think this basic function should to be described in instuctions.

I'm certainly no expert here, but it sounds like a similar problem I had when just starting...
check you have downloaded and installed all the parts that you need... probably

Download Component
Download Plugin
Download Button Plugin

Then when you have installed them, make sure they are Enabled! (I forgot to enable the Component initially and I'm pretty sure I had this problem...)

Good Luck!

Hello,

I had a similar issue on my Joomla 1.6 site. I downloaded all related componenets and plugins. They have been successfully installed, but the "Button - Phoca Download" plugin generaed an error when tried to open any of my articles. Any solution for this problem? :?:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getTemplate() on a non-object in /home/site/public_html/Joomla/plugins/editors-xtd/phocadownload/phocadownload.php on line 24

Thanks

Hi,
Unfortunately, there is only the Phoca Download Component and no Plugin for joomla v1.6
So you have installed joomla v1.5 Plugin(s) in joomla v1.6. This does not work.

Kind regards,
Benno
