Hi, I don't know any other solution. Yes it is true about new ACL, I am waiting for new ACL of Joomla! 1.6 to implement it to Phoca Download. So maybe try to see some external extensions if there is one which can set groups to existing groups in Joomla!

Hi
I'm using Joomla 1.6.1 with Phoca Download 2.0.0 RC3.
I've created some Joomla! Groups and put some Joomla! users in it. Now I'd like to assign the access of a file to a joomla! group. Is this still not possible?
thx & cheerioh

oh, btw: how do I change display name of the download link? Currently it displays the filename, but our filenames are quite long and ugly..... any idea?

Navigate to the PD Control Panel->Options->Display->General Settings->Filename or Title and set it to Title!

About the permission: I am not sure but I think there was a bug which is fixed in the next version. But test it.

Hi, in Phoca Download, you can use the access rules, the same like e.g. by articles.
You need to create access rule and assign there a group.
