Public documents in a public category of a public section are requiring login. I cannot work out why this is. Any ideas?

Hi, can I see the site where this occurs?
Did you check the right in the edit of the file?

I am calling the two files on the page using the following:
{phocadownload view=file|id=14} {phocadownload view=file|id=15}
Files are definitely public access, as is section and category.
I wonder if something else is interfering. The site is using sh404SEF - is that an issue?

Hi, did you try it without the sh404SEF?

Yes. I specifically excluded the phoca component in the sh404sef setup. That's why you see the full joomla-style link for the documents, but it gives exactly the same result - login required - whether it is enabled or not.

If this isn't solved by the weekend then I'll need to turn off Phoca and install another document management solution in its place. Any ideas on how to solve (and therefore keep) Phoca would be very welcome.

I found solution for mine. Login was required only for categories in section 7, so I grooved nev section 11 and moved all categories and files to it

I compared section 7 with other sections in databaze and I thing it isn´t different

I tried that too - created a new section and category then moved files across. I even tried creating a completely new document in the new section/category. No difference. Grrr...
