I got the same problem. I click on the file, but the lightbox remains opened. if it close it, there is no file chosen.
Hi, if you have enabled flash upload, it works only with flash 9 version (adobe flash plugin), if you have other version e.g. 10 then flash upload does not work. This issue will be fixed in Joomla! 1.6
