High Jan!

I wanted to help testing the new version and installed it locally for testing. I made an upgrade installation, what went fine. After setting all pics and categories to approved, the galerie was shown as usual.

Unfortunatly I do not find the new dialogs in the frontend für creating categories and subcategories. Is there somewhere a parameter to "switch it on?"

Hi, did you create the link to UCP (user control panel) in Menu Manager - e.g. Main Menu - Phoca Gallery - User Control Panel (and enable the UCP in Parameters in this menu link)

yes I did so, but I see now an errormessage, when I try to access the controllpanel:

property: stdClass::$displayiconcommentimg in /srv/www/htdocs/fsv/components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/default.php on line 347

Maybe this gives you an idea?

I tried a new installation of Alpha3, and now I see the UCP. A first thing I found to be fixed:

If you create a subcategorie, f.e.

Maincat->Subcat->Subcat1

and you upload a pic to Subcat1, there is no errormessage when you try to delete this category. Deleting doesn't work, but you don't see why. Nice would be a message like "category is not empty, please remove pics before"

Another hint:
The Maincat has a pic-folder in \media f.e. \media\phocagallery\Maincat. When creating subcategories it would be better to create a subolder for the picture of this subcategory, f.e.

Maincat->Subcat could create a folder \media\phocagallery\Maincat\Subcat

Ok I'll do some more tests....

you're right, if a an image is in, the message is displayed. All what I tested in Alpha4 worked fine, all I would additionally need is an automatic folder generation, when adding a new category.

If you could mention me the coresponding place in the code, I would try to realize that.

No idea there, the folder will be created after main category is created, images from all subcategories are stored in user's folder
