I have this error on my website "You have no rights to access this category", been having trouble finding a solution to it. I have tried setting the link that leads to my download page to public and registered and the other options, I did the same thing for the phoca download sections that are categories and Files. the only option that seems to work is superuser, but this is a administrator user. What I want to accomplish is that any that clicks on the link can view and download a file without having to login or whatever.

Can someone help me?

Phoca download 3.1.2 and Joomla version 3.7.4

Hi, as default, all files are accessible to all.

Try to check all the permissions which can be set:
- access rights to file
- access rights to category
- access rights to menu link
- are the files authorized?

In Phoca Download 3 there are no more sections, so there is no settings of sections regarding access rights

For the access right option they are all set to the same thing which is public currently and the files are all authorized.

Hmmm, can I see the site where this occurs?

Do you have a link to website of category view
Does the file exist on the server (which is selected for this file item)?

This error message is displayed only in case the rights are set to "not public"

What is the value for this Options parameter: Access Level - Registered Users?
