Links go nuts

I'm not sure if this is a phoca issue or joomla, but I'm going to start here.

Because I need a bit of versitility in presenting my galleries, I have created two different articles. One shows head shots of 8 different people and each image should be linked to the gallery for that person.

Not seeing anything internal, I created links from the headshots to the actural URL of the gallery. As I created the links I saved the article and tested and the links worked fine. However now that I have completed linking all 8 galleries, the links take me everywhere except where they should.

I'm at a complete loss with this.

Here's the link to the page with the 8 head shots and the links to the galleries.

Hi,
did you also try to display the categories with help of the Phoca Gallery Plugin (for testing)?
https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/1 ... ery-plugin
and button Plugin to create valid code:
https://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery-button

Kind regards,
Benno

That won't quite do what I need. I have an article which displays head shots of 8 people (brothers and sisters). I need to user to be able to click on any one of those 8 and view the category for that person. The plugin has some use, but not for this.

Each of those 8 have subcategories (representing their children, who in turn have their children) quite literally a family tree.

When the category opens, the user sees the images in the gallery, but also sees the subgalleries for the children.

The work around that seems to be working for me is as follows: I created a hidden menu with 8 items each pointing to the individual galleries for the 8 siblings. Then using the link option in the editor, i linked each head shot to the menu item. That seems to be working.

I'm perfectly open to any better options.

Thanks.

Hi, if you are using SEF, I think the idea with hidden menu (to create right SEF links) is OK.
