problem showing the map or map link

I have installed phoca map component 1.04 and plugin 1.04 and i have the following problem.
I try to show the map or the map link in a custom html module and i only get the text calling the plugin. for example i write down to custom html module {phocamaps view=map|id=1} and instead of the map i get this very same text in the module.
I am certain that everything is installed correctly because when i put it in an article, everything works great.
Anybody knows why?
