Thanks for this great component.
But, did you consider changing the word 'category' with 'album' which is more intuitive and user friendly especially when this is connected with organizing pictures?
IMHO most software and web apps are using the term 'album' in such case.

Hi, yes, the category is a term used in Joomla! - Joomla! uses categories and the extension should be a part of the system. This is why Phoca Gallery uses the same administration, terms, etc.

All the language strings can be changed in language file, so the category can be change to album.

So yes, I know, the "album" is better term for categories in gallery extension but as written above, it should somehow reflect Joomla! functions

Yes, this is all Joomla, but...
You have front-end upload and management and users not caring what you are working with. They are customized with FB and albums (see latest posts here - all about FB), and suddenly categories... Anyway... This is just an idea...
Another idea is removing folder management from the back-end at all - just upload pictures in a category/album directly, folder will be auto-created, it could be a number inside 'images/phocagallery'. I have other tools for file/folder management.
Recently I tried Multiple Add, and to my surprise I had to select images and to choose category (which I had to create first) after uploading them in the correct folder - this is too much additional job IMHO.

Hi, the multiple add function was made to quickly fill the gallery:

1) you create folders, subfolders on your PC, add the images there
2) you copy them to server - e.g. with ftp
3) then you automatically convert them to categories, subcategories and thumbnails will be automatically created from images.

It was made to quickly set Phoca Gallery. With this way user are ready with gallery on the site within seconds/minutes (depends on how much images the gallery includes)
